Getting ready to board cruise ship

March 14th Sunday = Low 65 degrees High 70 degrees - Sunny - Cloudless day, gentle breeze

We remembered to set our clock ahead last pm and found out it was still dark when the alarm went off this morning, but wanting to go to church and have time to walk Estee before church, we ventured out of bed.

We took a little longer picking out clothes for church, as we were meeting friends after church to go on a cruise and to visit another island for lunch, so needed something a bit different.

Our church service was once again was wonderful, with the scripture reading being from Mark, which pleased Lou and I as we are doing an independent study of Mark during Lent. It is going to be hard to leave our new church, each Sunday we get acquainted with someone else, and today Lou met a man that was stationed in Rome, NY and was also in the Air Force and flew on a F-89. Our psychologist friend and his wife were back today and we have so enjoyed them this winter, so one more week to enjoy these special people, until next year.

Church was over on time, and Lou and I drove to Truman Annex and parked and walked to the Hotel, where we were to meet our friends. It was a beautiful walk, past beautiful homes, and gardens. We all met up as scheduled and boarded our cruise ship to take us to the island, what a wonderful time, and a perfect day to be on the water.

We arrived at the island and were escorted to our awaiting table and we so enjoyed talking and poking fun at each other, it is just a great group of friends, with so much in common, and all adult fun conversation. We are already making plans for next year. We ordered blacked grouper sandwiches and sweet potato salad, and it was delightfully presented. We were seated outside with a wonderful view surrounded by beautiful white linens and flowers. You can never guess what Lou and I ordered for desert. Yes, Kris, this time I got a picture of it. We were there about four hours and had such a good time.

Lou didn't want me to put Estee in her cage, and we were gone from 10:30 until 4:30 and she did just fine. I put down a pad for her, but she didn't use it, but she was ready to go out when we got home. She has stuck fast to Lou this evening.
