Notice all of the planes on board
February 1st - Wednesday - Beautiful Day 72 degrees, very little wind.
We all spent the morning watching the Enterprise being turned and making it's way down the St. John's River getting ready to return to the sea. It was really amazing to watch the tug boats do their job. Steve, of course, is a retired Navy Commander and could tell us exactly what was happening, and that made it ever so much more interesting. All of this happens right outside of our windows, but we decided to walk across our driveway and sit in the sun and enjoy the morning and the view. Today was a very busy day on the river and we took many pictures of many different types of ships and one day I will post a blog of all of the different types of ships we see in a day.
Along with watching the ships, I did laundry, did some cleaning and fixed a good dinner tonight, using pork tenderloins, apples and onion slices, spices and apple juice, fresh asparagus, rice and for dessert I made strawberry shortcake.
Lou is enjoying having his Dish working, as all of our favorite television programs are reruns and we have found that very disappointing. He has been able to get caught up on his computer reading this afternoon. We are supposed to have a little rain tomorrow, will be a good day to go shopping.
