Windmills in the distance |
We were up early and ready to start at 7:00 AM. Preston arrived a little before 7:00; however, when he started putting his things into the RV, he realized he had forgotten his suitcase!!. He called his wife and asked her to meet him half way and he set off for home and we started for Syracuse.
We arrived in Syracuse at 10:00 AM and waited until 12:30 PM for them to take our RV into the service bay. Then we continued to wait until 4:30 to have it completed. They took us into the bay to show us they did indeed have a picture on the television and we paid the bill which was a whooping $530.00 and they told us they gave us a huge reduction on the labor and that King Dome did not charge for the three parts that needed to be put into the Dome.
I neglected to tell you that Preston joined us at Camping World around 1:00 PM and he and his dad went out for lunch while I stayed with the RV.
We hooked the car back on to the RV and drove to a small town called Bouckville, NY that is known for their antiques and are spending the night at Cider House Camp Grounds. It isn’t anything to brag about other than it is on Route 20 and very easy to find and we were able to get a drive thru spot and everyone was delightful in aiding us in getting parked and that always means a lots to tired travelers.
We have decided that we are going to continue driving Route 20 to Boston tomorrow, as it is known for its scenery and so far the countryside has been beautiful, even in the rain. So much for the sparkling RV of yesterday.
The question - Are we watching television tonight? No two sets of twinkle fingers played with the controls tonight and I told them if they screwed it up I wasn't calling dish, it was up to them to figure it out. We will see what tomorrow night brings forth. I know it worked at Camping World with the way the tech. has it set, and my motto is leave it alone and enjoy what you have. Guess I had better stick to dishes and cooking!!
