Bay Shore Drive - MacDill Air Force Base

April 7th - Wednesday - 67 degrees low - 87 degrees high Sunny beautiful day

It is hard to believe this beautiful weather continues, but we are thankful for each and every day.

Yesterday we again went to SeaScapes for lunch, and we both enjoyed a taco salad and iced tea while watching the ships come and go on the bay. After our late lunch we drove over to the BX looking for a new mixer and new carpets. Found the mixer, but not the carpeting that we want, so will wait on that until we get back home.

It was almost 6:00 when we returned home, so I quickly grabbed my laundry off the lines and we made a combined effort to fix dinner. We had a wonderful shrimp tossed salad and finished up the Key Lime Pie. Tonight I want to cook our fresh green beans with new potatoes and ham for our dinner.

Today we have packed up as we would if we were going to move on, but the purpose of this is to check out the hydraulic system. It seems at this point we don't have any parking brakes, so I am awaiting news on what we do next.

I have tried to take pictures of the base here at MacDill, but it is so immense I just can't do it. As I stated before it is an international base and we can see all branches of the service represented here. It is a deployment base, so lots come and go.

Am going to quickly post this item and will finish more detail later. We are going to be towed to a local Workhorse repair shop and will stay there overnight and will have the brakes repaired. More later.
